With a hand-cut corneal flap, there is more room for error and additional complication possibilities. In No Blade LASIK, the corneal flap is created using a laser instead of a blade. The IntraLase laser gently folds back the flap, allowing Dr. Kawesch to create an even thinner flap than is possible with the traditional method.
