Over the past few years, great advances in technology and reduction in procedure time, combined with high demand, have made LASIK more desirable and more affordable than ever. There are many financing options available to you if you want to spread the costs out over time.

Costs

Procedure costs are listed per eye. If you plan to have both eyes corrected, then the total costs to be considered double when quoted. Enhancements to your procedure such as Wavefront or Intralase laser technologies are quoted in addition to the LASIK procedure and are also specified per eye. Since every patient is different and has different needs, your surgical costs may vary from other patients at the clinic. Dr. Kawesch and his team will provide an accurate estimate based on your specific vision needs.

Insurance

In almost all cases, LASIK is considered an elective surgery and is not covered by insurance policies. However, your company may include a rider that helps pay for some of the cost of the procedure. Please contact your human resources department or insurance carrier to find out if any LASIK costs can be covered, or contact our financing personnel to see if we can help.

Many employers now offer their employees medical savings accounts to help offset costs of any medical procedures, including LASIK.
